The Colorado Cupboard is a unique retail setting providing locally and freshly made food and other products. We support local producers and offer an inexpensive retail space setting to help the Colorado producer utilize their talents and realize their dreams.

About the Owners

Dayna Nixon and Shari Triche, owners of The Colorado Cupboard, are sisters originally from New Orleans. They are still southerners at heart with a passion for helping and hospitality. That's why customers like to COME IN TO BROWSE AND THEN STAY AWHILE.

Dayna has a business background with a degree in Management and an office management career.

Shari has a background in the food industry. She managed restaurants, and then became an executive chef. She still owns and operates Cooking with Jazz Catering, www.cookingwithjazzcatering.com.

Dayna and Shari wanted a creative way to help Shari sell her delicious food besides just when someone needs a caterer. They decided to open a retail store where you can come in and pick up a fresh frozen meal to take home to heat. While deciding what else to offer in the spacious location, they decided to take on a MADE IN COLORADO theme. Finding vendors at Farmer's Markets and through the organization Colorado Proud, they began to get enough interest in foodies who were looking for a retail market.

The venture has since grown to include HUNDREDS OF COLORADO MADE items from soap to salsa, and jams to jewelry.
